Brief:
Reinvent a product’s identity to re-engage with a relevant consumer market.
Concept:
Rebranding “The Walkman” to “The Walkwoman”, the campaign was initiated for Sony to help re-engage a Gen Z audience while also highlighting gender inequality in the music industry- specifically the gender pay gap. It uses music-related phrases and iconography to educate and raise awareness around this issue.
A replica 3D model of Sony’s 2023 Walkman NW-A306 was created in Blender and used as a creative asset within the campaign.
